The consecration of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir on January 22, 2024 marked one of the most significant moments in modern Indian history. Millions of devotees now wish to receive Ramlala's blessings. This guide will help you plan the perfect darshan.
Darshan Timings
Ram Mandir is open 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily, including Sundays. Midday break: 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
- Mangala Aarti: 6:00 AM (limited special passes)
- Regular Darshan: 7:00 AM – 11:30 AM, 2:00 PM – 9:30 PM

Dress Code
The temple enforces a strict dress code. Wear clean, modest traditional Indian clothing — salwar kameez, saree, dhoti-kurta. Avoid shorts, sleeveless tops, or revealing clothes. Women should carry a dupatta to cover their head. All leather items must be deposited at the locker facility. Footwear must be removed at designated areas.
What to Carry
Carry: Valid government photo ID (mandatory for entry), small cash for prasad, a handkerchief.
Do NOT carry: Mobile phones with cameras (prohibited in the sanctum), tobacco or pan, non-veg food, or sharp objects.
Best Times for Darshan
- Weekday mornings (Tue–Thu, 7–9 AM) — shortest queues
- Avoid weekends — Saturday/Sunday afternoons can mean 3–4 hour waits
- During festivals (Ram Navami, Diwali) — spectacular but expect 6+ hour waits
- Booking through Trip2Ayodhya gives you priority darshan assistance
